Las Colinas Builders, Las Colinas of Kerrville and Phase II of The Horizon of Kerrville are a part of the family-owned and operated businesses of the McRae Group. During the past 30 years the McRae family has lived, worked, raised and educated children, contributed to causes and projects in Kerrville and other parts of Texas.
By any Texan's definition, Rick McRae is a self-made man. At a young age, he started his first career in heavy equipment operation and leasing, and he later founded McRae Energy Corporation in 1982. He began managing his own drilling operation and made his way through the energy downturn in the late 80's and 90's. In 2001 he began another phase by purchasing land for real estate development in the Kerrville area. He has continued to add companies and endeavors to the group through the intervening years. His respect for the land, his striving for fairness in his business dealings and his strong work ethic have been passed on to his family.
Both Las Colinas of Kerrville and Phase II of The Horizon of Kerrville have been developed with an understanding of conserving natural resources, habitat for wildlife and the natural beauty of the area. Las Colinas Builders, operated by Rick's sons, bases their approach to a project on these same principles.

From original estimate to final certifications, all financial information is transparent and backed-up by invoices/receipts and lien releases.
